School Site Safety Protocol:

Classroom Safety information

  • Each classroom will be supplied with an air purifier.
  • Student desks will be positioned six feet apart.
  • Students will use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the classroom.
  • Individual classroom supplies will be provided to students.
  • Classrooms will be sanitized at the end of each day.

Bathrooms

Each building will have designated bathrooms for student use and teachers will keep a log of students who leave the classroom to use the restroom during the school day. Only one student will be allowed at a time inside a restroom. Students will use standard restroom procedures (“Knock, go, flush, wash, out”). Teachers will review procedures in class and signs will be posted as reminders. Students will wait on stars outside the restroom until their turn. Students will wash hands before leaving the bathroom. Bathrooms will be cleaned hourly by the custodial staff.

Drinking Fountains

All drinking fountains on campus will be covered/turned off. Students may bring their own water bottles to campus. Students should clearly label their water bottles with first and last name.  If needed, students will be able to use the water filling stations to fill bottles.

Student illness

If a student becomes ill on campus, they will immediately be brought to the Relaxation Room (Nurses station located in the main office). Once the student arrives at the room, they will be immediately provided with a mask, if needed, and gloves.  This is to help protect other employees/students from the spread of the potential virus.
