regarding the eighth- to ninth-grade High School
Transition for the 2026–27 school year.
San Lorenzo Unified offers placement in seven
Small Learning Communities (SLCs), all designed
to prepare students for college, career and civic
engagement.
During our Family Information Nights, you will
learn more about our Small Learning Communities,
meet high school staff and listen to detailed
information on the enrollment process.
Regardless of whether families of current eighth-
graders attend one of these information nights,
students must complete a Google form, available
at the meetings or from each school’s counselor
the next day.
The form is due by Dec. 4, 2026.
Families will indicate their choice of Small Learning
Community. Placement notification will occur in
February.
