San Lorenzo Schools will open enrollment for the 2026-27 school year on Jan. 1, inviting new families and those with additional school-age children to sign up for transitional kindergarten through 12th grade.
In addition to self-serve enrollment online, the district has a new Enrollment Center, which opened last summer adjacent to the District Office at 15510 Usher St. in San Lorenzo. Look for the lorful student photo mural on the front of the building.
Center staff maintain regular hours from 8:30-4 on weekdays, but in coming weeks they also will host additional opportunities in an effort to help families complete the process now rather than waiting until summer:
· Drop-in Enrollment Help: From Jan. 26-March 16, Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30-6:30 p.m., and Wednesday and Friday, 8:30-11:30 a.m.
· Saturday Enrollment Fairs: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan. 31 and March 7 in the District Office Board Room.
The San Lorenzo Unified School District is eager to welcome new families for transitional kindergarten and kindergarten. TK is now open to all students who turn 4 by Sept. 1 in the year they plan to attend.
Families interested in learning more are invited to attend three TK/K Family Information Nights (flyers pictured below) to be held from 5:30-7 in the gyms of the three middle schools:
· Jan. 7, Washington Manor Middle School, 1170 Fargo Ave., San Leandro
· Jan. 14, Bohannon Middle School, 800 Bockman Road, San Lorenzo
· Jan. 21, Edendale Middle School, 16160 Ashland Ave., San Lorenzo
Although elementary principals based on how their schools feed into the middle schools, these events are open to families regardless of home address.
Following a general session, families can learn about the Spanish-English Dual Language Immersion program at Hesperian Elementary School and the bilingual Spanish program at Colonial Acres Elementary. These programs are open to students throughout the district.
